StatsManager is built around games. A game has a "video", a "sport" and a "team". A sport has "actions" (e.g. "goal", "tackle", etc.) and a team has "players". When reviewing your video you create "tags" that mark something of interest in the video. StatsManager manages the tags and uses them to move around the video (and skip the boring parts). The video can be captured on any device and is hosted on YouTube.
Get more screen space when using StatsManager by going "Full Screen" on your mobile or tablet. To do this simply add a link to StatsManager on your mobile home screen. This makes StatsManager bigger and your videos easier to see.
With a verified YouTube account you can upload videos up to 128GB in length. To increase your video upload length (from the default 15 minutes) follow the instructions at this link (provided by YouTube). Increase Upload Length
When you upload your videos to YouTube they are by default marked as "Public". To change this to "Unlisted" (i.e. they will not show up in YouTube searches) follow the instructions at this link (provided by YouTube). Default uploaded videos to "Unlisted"
If you can use Word or Excel you will be able to use StatsManager. Video analysis software has a well deserved reputation for being hard to use. StatsManager removes this by simplifying the whole user experience while still delivering a powerful analysis solution. More importantly, if you only use StatsManager once per week or every other week, you will not have to constantly relearn a complex set of skills just to become productive.
StatsManager was built from the ground up to support any sport and any action within a sport. You decide what means the most to you. The software is completely configurable so you get your game, your way. StatsManager comes with already tagged sample games when you first login to get you started.
StatsManager provides enhanced playback of sports videos hosted on YouTube. You can use the video tags or jump buttons to move around your video so you can focus on the important parts of the game. This in addition to the standard controls like pause / play / restart, etc. Any comments or descriptions you entered for your tags are also shown when played.
On Game day the steps are:
  • 1. Capture your video on your camera, phone or tablet.
  • 2. Upload the game video to YouTube.
  • 3. Create a game in Statsmanager which links the YouTube video to your sport and team.
  • 4. Tag your video
That's it. Your video and tags are instantly shared with all of your team members.
YouTube is the world leader in video delivery. It's fast, it's everywhere and it gives you the best quality of video your device can support. There are no limits to the number of videos you can put on YouTube. If you don't want your video to be publicly visible simply make your video "Unlisted" when uploaded.
StatsManager has a companion app called iStatsManager that runs on a mobile device (available for free from the Apple app store). This means you can use live tagging during the game then import the results to your laptop for later analysis. Multiple iOS devices apps can tag at once (e.g. player tags vs team tags) and these can all be added to the same video once imported to StatsManager.
StatsManager does not care where you get your video from. Upload your video directly to YouTube from whatever device or format you have recorded it in. YouTube will stream your video back in a format that is compatible with any device that requests it (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, etc.). If your video and connection supports it you will get HD video.
StatsManager runs on any device with an internet browser and internet connection. This covers all major operating systems (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Unix) and browsers (Chrome, Safari, IE, Firefox, Opera, Edge).
Each "game" has a "team" and each team has "players". Players in the team have an email address. When you add the player to your team any videos that use that team are automatically shared between all team members. When they next login, any new videos are listed. Teams and players are unlimited and players can be in more than one team.
Each game has a "history" and when your video is watched by one of your team members this is recorded in the history. You can easily see who has or hasn't watched the video (you can even see how often they have watched) all at the click of a button.
StatsManager installs some sample templates for common sports like football, rugby and hockey. You can have as many templates as you want and as many sports as you want. StatsManager can cover everything from Archery to Zumba.
Easily drill-down to see the video clips that are important for you. Sort by player, event, time, type of event or any criteria that make sense for you. This makes presentations to your team and coaches relevant and snappy.
StatsManager can play your video back in slow motion to allow you to see hard to follow occurrences (e.g. was the player offside?). Conversely you can also run the video back faster too.
Use the hot-keys to skip forwards and backwards through the video when tagging or reviewing. This makes finding key moments in the game simple and stops your mouse working overtime. ("z" and "x" : +3 / -3 seconds, "a" and "s" +30 / -30 seconds, "q" / "w" : Next / Last clip).
StatsManager can directly import tags from StatsManager Windows and from SportsCode GameBreaker.
When tagging, StatsManager only shows the players names that are configured as selected. This means that you can keep your whole squad and coaching group in the team list but not have your display cluttered if the player wasn't selected for that specific game.
